On Day 4 of this year’s challenge, I wrote about being a member of the Empty Plate Club. This community was super generous with comments, so I pulled text from each comment and composed a found poem.
A huge thank you to all who support me in this writing life, and a super big thanks to those who commented on my Day 4 post. This poem is for you. 🙏

I love it! The poem, not the burden so many of us carry.

This found poem is so well-crafted! I tried to find my comment hiding in the lines of the poem. 🙂

Glenda, I have read this several times, and it is delightful – tasty, like the food in the picture. I like the way you used everyone’s comments for the found poem. Such a loving thing to stitch words and thoughts together to share the vibe of the community in a poem.

I love it! I sadly am still a member of the club most of the time! I did ask my kids to try all new foods and they came up with all kinds of ways to not eat what they did not want to eat such as: vegetarian, antivegetarian, & muscle building diet to name a few!

Love it! A found poem from comments is really clever – and this one works especially well.

Oh, how fun! Thank you. I love this idea for a slice of life. It is a sweet slice. “Is this a blog post or an intervention?” had me laughing!
